Brake noise tick driving me crazy. Does your's do it?

if fact if i dont hear it i'm suspect that something may be wrong.

I just got my 1st Prius and do not know much but what is that noise before the clicking?regen braking?i was about to take it to the dealer for that noise

 

I heard the tick too as I lightly press on the brake. Even if I have the car turn off. I think it sound like a old plastic bushing rubbing each other.

I have tock noise, but no tick.

 

I think the brake pump/actuator is making those noises, which I normally hear in my car while braking. They are more prevalent when I brake hard and/or quickly. I don't think there is anything to worry about, to be honest.

Oh my old 05 Prius, my dad's 08 Prius, and my new 17 Prime all do the ticking sounds. Annoying but normal.

 

Today I've been driving for almost an hour in heavy traffic, bumper to bumper. While I much appreciated the lack of "battery low" stress which plagues my other hybrid car in similar conditions, I've noticed the "click" when I depress the brake pedal - I had to do it hundreds of times. It seems coming from the brake lights switch, and actually it is a bit annoying. But I can live with it...
