Hi pls help ..I have a 2008 prius 1.5 ..when I apply the break there is a whining grinding noise and feel vibration on driver side. There is no noise when I break in natural..I have changed the pads discs and wheel bearing and also the drive shaft..the noise was there with the old pads and discs too ..when I bought the car i was told as it has been parked up the noise shall disappear..I also appears this car has had the gear box changed. What can be causing this noise and vibration?

Have you checked or changed transaxle fluid? If fluid is low, bad, or magnet has big chunks in it that would be a hint that transaxle could be bad.

Also might be good to check that passenger side drive shaft is good.
