I'm going to have my brakes done. I want to make sure I don't set the brake pump off. Is disconnecting the little 12 volt battery in the back enough or do I need to pull those ABS fuses from under the hood as well.

Caution him to pump the brake pedal several times before reconnecting the 12 volt: you don't want the car detecting excess brake pedal at first start up.

Make SURE he does not compress the caliper pistons without opening the bleeder screw FIRST. Forcing old brake fluid BACKWARDS thru the system is a very risky proposition that could be incredibly costly to correct.

Wouldn't hurt, I guess. I've never done that, never seen it recommended in shop manuals. As long you do periodic brake fluid changes shouldn't be a problem.
