The noise is not the usual vibrate noise that happens.

The Noise: As I brake harder to the final stop I hear a grind/bump noise. It is hard to describe. It is abrupt and quick. I don't believe it affects the braking just annoying and doesnt sound normal.

I will try better to describe it later. Any ideas? Low brake fluid? etc?

If your brakes have not been used heavily or if they have been wet and dried recently they will make noise when engaging. Remember, unless braking hard, you are using regen braking to slow the car down until the last 9mph or so. At that point your friction brakes engage.

I've heard that couple of times when I was stuck in traffic in EV mode, only happened to me if I was driving strictly in EV mode. If I was slowing down from a normal drive it does not make that noise. I figured it's some sort of EV thing.

Try putting your car in neutral the next few times you are braking. This will disable regen and force the friction brakes. If it is rust buildup piston sticking this will help eliminate this.
