    My first prius.
    Any advice or suggestions for a first time owner.

    well done! i would look at the service history and complete anything in the owners manual that hasn't been done. make sure you're up to date on recalls and change the tranny fluid if it hasn't been done yet. all the best!(y)

    Welcome Aboard.

    Advice: Just drive it like a regular car for the first 5 tanks of gas.
    Driving it like a regular car is sorta the whole point. You'll out figure things like pulse and glide, and stealth mode by reading posts here.

    Check your oil regularly, especially for the first few tanks of gas and make sure your tires pressures are at least up to OEM specs (sticker is on the door sill) and maybe 3-4 pounds more.
    If your car isn't using oil, then you can back the oil checks off to about every other tank or so.
