Brand New with Leaking Differential - NOT TRUE!

    No matter what they say, I'd get a second opinion from a different dealer. Who knows how much they really know about the Prius. That "a few new ones come that way" sounds fishy to me.

    What a waste of time. There was nothing leaking. They said the oil might be left over from when they were making the car in the factory or just splashed from the road.
    What a relief!

    Was it their High School Drop Out Oil Change technician that gave you this advice? Maybe it was his first week on the job and he is feeling like a big shot.

    I recommend that whenever anyone representing the dealership gives you advice, request that the service manager put it in writing. If the oil change guy has to go to the service manager and explain to him that the customer wants the stupid advice I just gave him in writing because I shot my mouth off again, then it may cure him of this anoying habbit.

    You're right, that's what the service manager told me also, "He is supposed to come and get one of us to inspect it on the spot."
