    Good news for UK/EU gen2 owners. The Bridgestone Ecopia EP001S is now available in 205/55/16 size. This is the only double A rated tyre that fits the 16 inch wheels fitted to gen2's in the UK and EU.

    bad thing is in Germany they only homologated 195 55 16. Beside the new Michelin E-V for the Renault Zoe electric car there is no other AA rated tyre available. The E-V is only rated to 160km/h, so not legal to use in Germany as the Prius' top speed is 170km/h. It hits that speed with ease BTW not needing full throttle to maintain it.
