    That is exactly what I'd like to do - I'll be doing that soon. It's not like working with simple html, though, so it might take a few days for me to do it.

    I'll also change the way things are worded as far as that "View posts since last visit (#)" link.

    I tried the Mark all forums read and noticed that it was tied to:

    Was that a cut and paste that slipped in?

    Has something changed? There are numerous members on the list with no join date. How can that be?

    Memberlist examples

    Danny,

    When I visit the memberlist (ie. 10132003, 4diego1, aaron-aggie, aforkosh, wilslew, willshire) don't show any join date. When I go to an individual profile for one of these, there is no information at all.

    Hope this helps.

    I don't know how long this has shown this way. Just noticed it this morning when I began looking for a new member from Anchorage. Met at the dealer service bay and pointed them to our site.

    Another please verify

    To someone who does not have administrator or moderator privileges:

    Please visit the Memberlist and see if any of the entries on the first page are missing "Date Joined" entries. Post your results here for Danny and me.

    I continue to see missing information on the membership list as well as individual profiles.

    Also, the "Mark all forums read" link on "View posts since last visit" returns this error message:
    The requested URL was not found on this server.

    Ah ha! I just figured out why. These are all users that have chosen to be "Hidden" when they sign in so none of that information is available. That's why I can see it all and you can't.

    No, it's not a bug, it's a feature :lol:

    Ok, that should be fixed now, as well. I forgot to include the forums/ directory in the url.

    No problem about the criticism - unless you're willing to take it, do what you can and adapt to what people want you'll never be successful. That's my thought, at least.

    I'm just making the changes that I can in order to make this the best online community for our members.

    Sorry, this "feature" is not my favorite. It blocks basic information that does not infringe on privacy issues. Of course, that MHO.

    Thank you for the attention.

    BTW A new board subject icon has appeared which is not explained. It is the one with the red dot in orbit around the normal symbol.

    That icon is a symbol showing that you have posted in that topic before. I'll see about adding it to the list of icon descriptions.

    Identification of Read threads

    This may have been reported already, and if so, I apologize for the duplicate.

    Prior to the recent changes, when a thread was read, the font changed. I could see where I had left off. Now, the thread disappears immediately from the list, and I'm having trouble finding my place. I find that I only read about one in five threads, so it's kind of tedious to find my place again.

    If I'm understanding you correctly, you're talking about when you use the "View Posts Since Last Visit" feature. When you return to that page the thread at the bottom of the list should be the next un-read thread. If you go through them and are done reading the ones you want to read, then click the "Mark All Forums Read" link.

    I've withheld this request, until now, b/c it's fairly minor. But, Could you move the "View Unread Posts" on the PriusChat.com Forum Index page to the top of those 3 options and maybe make it bold faced and slightly larger. It's small and sits in the middle, but it's probably my single most used link and it would be nice if it were slightly more prominant and accessible.

    Also, if this were MY web site, I would move the "Prius Main Forum" to the top of the Toyota Prius Forums list ahead of the Prius & Hybrid News--also maybe make it bold face and slightly larger since it's the "Main" forum and you'd want newcomers to be able to pick it out easily and stuff....but, of course, it's not "my" web site so if you're happy with an inferior product you can do whatever you want ;-) !
