Hello, my front passenger door will not unlock from the inside. The red / black mechanism "wiggles" rather than locking into place. The door handle works from the outside, as does the remote keyless entry. Any ideas how to troubleshoot / degree of difficulty?

    Thanks,

You'll have to pull the door panel off and see what's broken.
It may be the handle, or nylon fitting the metal rod goes into to hold it to the handle.

Could be a failing electric actuator on that door.
In the beginning, the symptoms from one day to another can vary a little bit.
If you watch the rocker switch and it has a little "hitch" in the operation with the remote, that likely is the actuator.
This is a common failure. I don't remember seeing anybody relate similar symptoms caused by anything else.

A search for "actuator" should get lots of hits.
