Bug deflector and window rain visors

It’s my verdict that nobody has accessories for it yet. Not even Toyota. I can’t even get OEM floor mats.

A quick update. Got the window visors in and are very high quality with Toyota imprinted in the plastic. Unfortunately, they do NOT fit my 23 Prius by any stretch! The curve is wrong and the end-caps are wrong. I am currently waiting to hear what the status is from MOTIVE Japan where they were purchased. Their website clearly says they fit the 23 Prius so we'll just have to see if I was sent the wrong ones or they simply had the wrong info on the website.

 

Thanks for sharing. How much was the shipping + customs fee?

Price point on the visors seems great once they fit. Maybe they sent wrong ones. Curious what happens and pics if they send you ones that fit

 

Heard from 'Motive Japan', the online seller and received a prepaid return label and full refund upon receipt by them of the visors. Looks like we both jumped the gun, but ended well.

 

Same, contacted them and they said The TRD version is available for like 50 more hmm

Shipping seems very reasonable too

Also, how much was the actual shipping fee and import/custom fee for you, Jim? Just wanna get an idea, outside of their quotes. I asked them about import/customs fee a d no response to that question

 

So I bought the GR Door Visors from Japan as shown below on EBAY.

Price was high, $389 plus $99 shipping.

Found another set for $299 but shipping was $199, so actually more.

Found two other sets, $598 + $198 shipping and $597 + $197 shipping.

Only took 3 weeks to get here, so not bad considering they said 4-6 weeks.

Overall, extremely happy. These are by far the best made visors i have ever purchased and i have purchased a lot of them.

Perfect fit. Only draw-back, instructions are in Japanese but a Goggle APP translated them to give me the info I needed.

Not too bad once I figured them out so if anyone gets a pair, PM me and I'll give you my experience.

Wind noise is less around the windows.

That was a playful dig at Toyota GR that claims they direct the airflow in a way that improves handling and performance. Yeah, and I've got some oceanfront property to sell right up here in North Dakota.

 

Wow, does that guy have high prices. I'm planning to get the interior illumination kit he's got advertised, but not at the $310 he wants for it(it's less than $100 in Japan). I do have to laugh at the $600 luxury carpet floor mats. It's true they're made out a nicer material than the ones we get here, but there's one little problem... Japan is a RHD country. Floor mats are kinda specific as to which side they go on. lol

I wouldn't recommend buying the window visors that glue onto the frame of the door. I've tried those twice, on two different cars (one my Prius) and they only lasted about a month before either coming very loose, flapping in the wind, so I had to remove them, or they just fell right off.
I do want to get a set that fit inside the window track....hate leaving the windows up on hot days and heating up those traction batteries.

 

Good reminder. For anyone reading this that finds out, are the one at Japanmotive in channel pieces? I don't want to presume.

Not sure if the tape version would come with clips and still not be in channel placement, in the top of the window sill all around.

 

Nice, I may have missed it but what is the shipping fee to the states on the ones they had previously sent? Customs fee if any, price?
