My inlaws are doing a similar thing.

Out here we have BevMo and they have sales where a bottle will be something like buy one get one for a penny.

Since my mother in law was the last to retire a year ago, we’ve had more of this.

 

We get it for less than that.

 

i'll talk to my bil, he was a sommelier, and owes me big time.

he wouldn't touch it, but not a snob. generally under twenty bucks when we're at their house, and i get 6 assorted bottles from them every Christmas. they usually last until january 10th.

 

I’m always impressed with their knowledge base and the certification process to become one. One of the more rigorous processes to get “certified”.

he can, but like priuschat, i rarely understand what he is talking about. school teacher too, so can sometimes be a bit didactic.
