    Bingo.

I learned about kale from Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn. He's got a book and several YouTube videos about how he has treated heart disease patients. It's a plant based diet with no added oils and lots of green leafy vegetables, particularly kale. His original 24 patients were all end stage referrals from cardiologists who had done all they could. Of those 24, 4 would rather die than eat his diet. They got their wish. 19 of the other 20 lived at least another 20 years with no additional vascular events. The last one had a stroke after spending some time in Bejing, eating a high salt diet. He recovered after resuming the Esselstyn diet. More at Dr. Esselstyn's Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease Program | Make yourself heart attack proof

Rip Esselstyn is Caldwell's son. He is the Austin, TX fireman who converted his station to a milder version of his father's diet. Seems most of what firemen actually do is respond to medical calls. One of the firemen got a wake up call from his doctor, and the entire crew responded with Rip's diet. Full story in the book "The Engine 2 Diet".

we have a guy out her, mark minkolla, holistic healer, mostly diet based. his book, 'whole health' has some great info.

we've been raising and eating kale everyday for 6 years now. when i lived in new hampshire, an old farmer taught us the benefits of kale.

Berserk no, judgemental yes. EVERYONE knows that eating and living right is better than not...even youngsters like yourself. Your push back comes from thinking it's your place to tell others how to eat and how to fit into your perceptions of what a group should be...which it is not. If you or anyone else chooses to live on distilled water and rabbit food grown without fertilizers and pesticides that's great, if someone else wants to eat a Whopper with black buns...well that's great too. Sorry, you are neither the moral majority or a Physician. So there's my opinion. ;)

Well that's your problem right there: you didn't say "with cheese". It's the cheese that coats and soothes the stomach as it slides on through.

You mean that genuine artificial cheese like substance. That should cover us with all the bad stuff we get from vitamin D enhanced pasteurized cow milk with growth hormones. :D

It's threads like this that make me wonder why we have people that insist on "leaving" Prius Chat when or if they move on from actual Prius ownership.

Sure this is a Freds House of Pancakes topic.

But we've got a 67+ post thread about Burger Kings Scary New Burger. That has morphed into a conversation about everything from marketing to diet choices.

I may someday NOT own a Prius. And I would expect with that my participation would dwindle. BUT...threads like this are exactly why I check in.
Where else can I get the latest "Triangle of Death" post coupled with a ongoing discussion about a dyed hamburger bun?

I'm actually a bit older than I put in the system here.
My point is, there are certian people that discriminate against youth.
I have had this happen on other topics on here.
    My point has been proven.

Alrighty then...let's have a pitty party for Fishcrab the victim.

Sorry if we hurt your feelings there buddy. 26 or 62...it's not your age, it's more the lack of maturity in how you present yourself that folks react to.

As I said, I may have pointed out some thing on this thread, but I did not go postal.
Let's all have some hot cakes and bacon and kale.

Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat, that yellow snow.

won't miss ya! and no matter what you, my very old father, wife, or Joe cross says, I will continue to drive prius, leaf, motorcycles, carry a gun, enjoy my pits, drink beer, cook meat on any of my five outdoor cookers, and have good life at my terms and no one else's...at 56 years old I believe I've earned the right to decide what's good for my life

Despite having been a vegetarian in the past, I still have no real taste for, nor desire to eat kale.

Wifey buys it at some outrageous inflated price at the local natural foods co-op. It sits in the refrigerator until it goes slimy and then I throw it away. Repeat the process a couple of weeks later.
