    Any obvious signs of what might have precipated the rod throw? For instance, a hole in the oil pan or evidence that the oil pump failed?

    When you use Shell Rotella 15W-40 do you eventually get any engine timing codes like P0011 or P0012? I'm looking to switch but I'm wondering how strict the ecu is.

    The ECU won't care about rotella, but if your car burns oil, burnt rotella can ruin your catalytic converter due to its sulfur additives. Might not matter for inspections where you live.
