I noticed a burning smell while going up a pretty steep hill recently in my gen 3 Prius
My engine was really laboring to make it up that hill
    Is this normal?

I had it in the past on hard accel but not anymore. I think some oil spilled while topped. Are all fluids OK? Any chance of overheating?

All fluids seem to be okay topped off . There could be a little oil that spilled over and could be burning

    Hi everyone,
I own Prius 3rd Gen 2011 model. Got it imported from Japan . 80000 miles is mileage .
Problem is that when ever I press the paddle hard , during short or long trips, I get the feel of plastic smell from engine bay. To be more precise from the front right side (Japanese right hand driven car) . The hood/ bonnet from front right gets literally jot where as left side (hybrid batteries etc) stays normal. No smell or over heated .
I don't think if it is brakes leather thing .
    Please guide.
