I noticed that the bottom of the shiny (sensor) portion of the fob on the right side is a button of some sort. Anyone knows what it is used for?

    P.S. I have a 2016 Prius Two

Right by the small key ring? Slide that little button over, and you can pull out the door key.

Does the button have a key icon on it, and it says "push"?

That button unlocks the mechanical key that is inserted into the top of the fob. Press the button, pull the key out of the fob.

Xlider, I guess they changed the new Fobs... my Gen4 Fob does not have a key icon, and doesn't say "push" anywhere. Did Toyota go cheap? (And the key is on the bottom of the Fob.)

I'm not referring to the slider button (bottom of the fob) for pulling out the key. The button I asked about is not very obvious. The shiny portion on top of the fob continues down to the left and right edges. End of the right edge depresses and pops back up like a button, but the left edge does not.

Mine barely moves - I suspect it's a bit of free-play, otherwise it would be too tight when opening it up.

Ok, sorry for the confusion. My fob is very solid on both sides. Nothing moves. (And I've dropped it 3 times on hard concrete.)

I feel deflection on the right side, glossy plastic "trim" if I press hard enough, but no indication that it is anything more than that.

Followed the glossy part on both sides of the fob. It's solid on mine. Perhaps yours is a loose piece?

Mine deflects some, but it's not a button I'm almost certain.
