    Hi everyone,

    I'm interested in a 07 gen 2. Seller wants $5,800 with 136k miles.
I wanna know what questions to ask the seller?

    Any tips?

    Thanks,
    Gnar

i would ask them why they are selling. you can really tell a lot from the answer.

I'd ask them for service records, if the car has been in an accident, what recalls were performed, and why they're selling

You don't state what level of trim the Pri is. I agree that service records and Carfax are important considerations to know.

ok, we bought the 05 without a backup cam or navi.
    $4k even.
HV battery goes up to the 2nd bar from the highest.
power is good, oil gets changed reguarly, radio functions are good order, no accidents but the owner did backup into a dumpster and ripped out the bottom trip.
My wife did tell me the battery on the red light does go on and off. You know that sound when the car is on idle.
I think that sound is ok for a car that old.
But the first thing I'm off to do is take it to the dealership and see what they say.

I'd count backing into a dumpster and ripping out part of the car as an accident, but as long as it's been fixed, it will hopefully be okay. Any problem indicator lights on the dashboard would spook me, but hopefully the battery issue your wife noticed is just the 12V one and the big one's fine.

    ok, this is odd.
I went to add the VIN from this 05 to the toyota owners site and it came back with 184k miles but the OD on the car is 150k.
    WTH?
Should I not care and maybe the dealer that worked on it last screwed up and I should just update it with what the OD says?

If I need to and can track this guy down. I can take him out on my boat and attach 400 lbs worth of weight on his legs. I've got the Monterey Bay accessible within minutes.
