Buying new Battery/ Core Credit

    It weighs over 100 lbs and is more comfortable as a two person lift. Gloves are a good idea as there are sharp edges, but the battery is reasonably safe to handle as the module string is cut in half when off (200+ volts divided into two 100+ volt sources) and the output is disconnected from the HV output cables by relays whenever the Prius is off (or when the battery id disconnected).

    You do need to be careful if you dismantle the battery due to the 100+volt battery strings. They become safe after you remove one of the "Bus bars" (two, one one each side of the assembly) as that limits the highest voltage to 15-16 volts (two modules in series) which is not dangerous.

    If you are going to store it for more than a few months, the modules will need to be charged as they do slowly discharge.

    My ReInVolt was shipped to me on a pallet, not in a box. It would fit in a box about 3 feet long by 1 ft by 1 ft
