Sounds like the boyz in Dearborn hit one out of the park in their first at-bat in the bigs.

    It's great they tested both cars for all of the speed freaks that love cornering & more cornering, yet the comparison ended at what SOME driver/owners consider the most important statistic;

    Mach - E city - blended - hwy
    96 MPGe - 90MPGe - 84MPGe

    Model Y
    129MPGe - 121 MPGe - 112 MPGe

Namely, how far can you go on the same amount of energy.

Car & Driver shortens their name - abbreviated to CD ?
CD can also stand for drag coefficient. Does CD take CD into consideration when they claim which is their favorite pick?

    EVangelists worship different stats.

I've never been a particular fan of the kids in Dearborn, but they're paying attention to their scouting reports, and they're doing some really groovy stuff - AGAIN.
About 100 years ago Henry didn't invent cars, he democratized them.
Cars were transmorgified from a new, expensive, range limited play-pretty for 1-percenters with immature infrastructure, hit-and-miss quality control, and against the grain of a bunch of norms that questioned the new tech.
    Sound familiar?
That's because history never repeats itself, but it always seems to rhyme a lot.

Tesla has the star power that it has, warts and all, because they're actually fun to drive.
FoMoCo is hoping to do what FoMoCo does.

Turn a disruptive transportation into something that norms WANT to drive....everywhere, and can actually, easily afford, not just "statistically...with a lot of dot.gov kickbacks.

When dot.gov starts TAXING them at the same rate and with the same intensity that they do with 'normal' cars and trucks, then EVs will become the new norm.

    Like I said before.
The early worm gets the bird, but it's the SECOND mouse that gets the cheese! :)

Absenting vertical integration, flirtations with socialism and communism, and all of the other stuff we went through the first time it ought to be fun to watch.
BUT....we'll see how well the roaring 2020's go THIS time.
Maybe this time without rhyming too much with the 1930s....

nice niche car for collectors, not a practical daily driver for most
