CA to Chicago, winterization tips?

    1. This extremist has his grill block back in, adjust to suit ambient temps, blocking just the lower grill. Takes about 5 minutes to install.
    2. Put the X-Ice on a week back, temps staying below 7C is when they shine. Sixth year now, they're still over 8/32" tread depth remaining. OEM tires about the same. Keeps the OEM alloy rims outa the salt, gives me a chance to wax and stack them.
    3. Got it at time of purchase. Have a timer controlled extension cord in the garage, use it daily, year 'round, before first start-up of the day.
