California HOV Lanes

    I was wondering if the 'c' engine qualifies under the PZEV designation for the HOV lanes in CA.?

    Or rather, the yellow sticker it would have qualified for expired last July 1.

    I believe that only the PIP now qualifies for the CA HOV lanes.

    (also, Toyota has been rather mum about the PZEV rating. So far they've only said SULEV)

    The c will never qualify. Car needs to be ELECTRIC for a certain distance w/o any ICE assist. In Toyota land, ONLY a Plug In Prius will qualify right now.
