    There are ones that have the inverter crapping out listed under engines and ones where the engines seized. They are considered a SAFETY issue.

    I've never seen a cast iron block Northstar. I had a '93 Allante and its Northstar was all aluminum. My '98 SLS had the Northstar and when the head gaskets started to leak around 75,000 miles, they timeserted the engine, no questions asked.​

    i don't think people understand the role of nhtsa, and i don't think nhtsa wants to discourage people from posting, so you wind up with the typical government bureaucracy.
