I used an 18W USB adapter to charge my phone in a 2006 Prius with a faulty combo meter. It worked once, then *both* cigarette fuses went out.

I am fairly certain i used it with a dark dash. Would a bad combo meter impact the inside fuse box?

Seeing as 18W รท 12v = 1.5 amps, I don't think the charger was the issue (it also works just fine in my mom's car). My only other theory is that there was some debris in the port that caused a short - but would that mess up both fuses?
