I think I've seen some people say they've used the Gen3 harness to charge a Gen2 Prius. Anyone have a guide or tips or gotchas that one would need to know in order charge a Gen2 with a Gen3 harness safely?

If it could I am sure @jeff652 would not have made different versions. Since there are different harnesses I must believe there was a functional reason.

The leads on a Gen3 hv battery are in a different place than on a Gen2, that's why the harness is different ;).

If you will be charging outside of the car, this can be done, but ensure you have a fan blowing across the battery:).

Otherwise I would buy the right harness for the battery and model when charging in the car(y).
