    Hey folks.

My mum just bought our neighbour's Prius. The lock button on the fob has stopped working, so we're looking to get a new fob.

I've read you can avoid the high prices of the Toyota dealers by getting another fob and programming it to work with the car using the "chicken dance"

My question: Will any old second hand fob I get off ebay work? I don't need SKS functionality.

    Thanks,
    Tom

A new fob, or used one that is cleared of previous programming will work. A person on ebay provides a fob clearing service where you mail them an old fob and they clear it and mail it back. But if the broken button is just broken in the outer shell, you can just replace the shell and not worry about reprogramming...
