Can anyone defend texting while driving?

    Like Samiam and others, I can't defend either texting or cell phone talking while driving. To me, both are on par with drinking while driving or driving while intoxicated.

    Don't worry about justifying texting or any other hand held phone use while driving to NY Biker, justify it to the parents of the 2 year old who was in the child car seat indicated by the red arrow who died in this accident. It is suspected the driver of the truck was on the phone. The car was stationary.
