    Based on the information you've given to us, it looks ok. Again, ask to clarify what "minor" is. Shopping cart? or pole? (Each area or insurance company may have their own definition of what is considered "minor - usually it means a repair cost under a certain amount).

    Go for it, ignore the warranty. This is a Prius, not a Fiat.
    You should not worry about the powertrain until after 2050K miles.

    Look its vin number up on toyota.com/owners check for service records. If no record of having transaxle fluid changed, I'd offer them $12,750 and tell them you want the 12 month warranty. I'd email them this too, since you live far away, that can safe you the drive. Tell them you are prepared to fofer 12,750 for the car if it meets and passes your visual inspection and test drive but you want the 12 month warranty included as well. If they do not wish to accept this offer you will continue to pursue your other options.

    They've had this car on the lot for almost 3 months. Make an offer, be firm and ask for more than what you want. Because they will likely counter back.
