Can someone explain HID bulbs to me?

    35W. The ballasts are my old DDM ballasts from my xB and the bulbs are new from HID Outlet on eBay.

    Honestly, I had 6000K up until a week ago. The 4300 is awesome. I wouldn't get 6000K again. They look great, but they wash out immediately under any inclement weather. I'm glad I had yellow fogs because it supplemented the output nicely.
    I would cap it at 5000K if you really want a clean, bright and useable output.

    4300 and 5000 just look like a brighter stock headlight to others. 6000k has a more distinctive look although you are correct that you get more lumens of light, with 4300 being the brightest:

    You can pull the little rubber seals/grommets out and then pull the old connectors/pins out. You thread the seal onto the replacement wiring and then reinsert the new connectors making sure to push the seals back into place.
