Can you have too many local farmer markets?

Every week starting Thursday to Sunday we have 5 separate farmers' markets at 5 different locations. They are 3, 6, 8, 11, and 11 mi's from where I live. Seems like a lot too me and kind of redundant, but I guess it must be sustainable. Do farmer markets seem to be a growing trend where you're at?

Yes, they are very much growing here.

I have been a vendor at one, though this year I only provide food to a Buyer's Club.

We are seeing more Farmer's Markets each year, just as we are seeing more organic / sustainable farms each year.

...we have a lot in Virgina I don't know if its growing.
Luckily the Saturday one is near our home. Different days different places.
That's where we get great corn on the cob, YUM.
Can't beat Jersey corn and tomatos (no e?) though.

In terms of corn you'll have to try fresno corn before you can make that claim.
