My wife's Lexus CT200h won't start and has the P lock malfunction message upon pressing Power. I think it's a dead 12V because she hardly drives due to COVID. I have a Prius. Is it safe for both our cars for me to try to jump start hers with mine? Thanks!

not recommended, but safe if you carefully apply the cables. don't turn the prius on.

a small jump pack is good to keep on hand

Good to see you guys again, can’t believe it’s been over 10 years. Is F8L still around?

Heeding your advice to not try it, we went to Costco to pick up a charger. They didn’t have a jump starter. It’s been about 2 hours so far. I’ll see if that solves the problem soon.

Seems to have worked. Error message is gone and car turns on fine.
