Cannot start conversation, workaround via XenForo?

PriusChat is hosted on the XenForo forum software platform

Seems this issue has cropped up from time to time in XenForo forum software. Quite surprised that XenForo the creators of the Forum software aren't making the communities aware of this issue. And also that administrators of PriusChat don't have access to the settings and permissions for the forum software.
