After browsing a bunch of posts and solutions, I'm still having an issue getting my 2010 Prius IV to recognize a USB flash drive. I can plug in my phone and it works fine, but I insert a flash drive and "USB" stays greyed out. I tried formatting it as FAT32 and exFAT and the files on there are MP3s. I've tried 16GB and 32GB flash drives.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help. We are leaving on a 3-month road trip and a fair amount of the time we'll have no signal so this will help us have our music and audiobooks.

I’m not sure as your Prius is a 2010 model, but is it possible the USB port doesn’t work as anything more than a charger? I remember another thread with a similar issue, and that year model didn’t double duty the USB port.
