new to prius (sold my gx470). really like it, if the iphone were a car it would be prius. except for the screen and graphics for the nav system. is there any way to change the color of the street names (white) so i can read them? or is there a "fix" planned? thanks in advance for commiserations and info.

Your best bet might be to buy a separate stand-alone GPS. You can get good ones with lifetime map updates for what you'll pay for one map update to your Prius v. And, you can position a stan-alone unit in front of you where it's easier to read. The Toyota GPS system has some short comings.

Do you have a Prius v wagon or the regular Prius (aka liftback)?
