Cassette deck clicking

    I just picked up a 2005 prius with jbl and nav. I am thinking of an after market install, but for the time being I hoped to use the cassette deck with an adaptor to play from my phone.

    I am able to hear sound fine through the deck but it constantly clicks like it's trying to load a cassette. Anyone have similar experiences?

    Me. Mine clicks and it drives me crazy. Trying to Google and figure out how to fix it.

    It's not the cassette deck, it's the type of tape you put in. Those adapter type cassettes always makes a noise

    I tried a regular cassette in it and it still clicked. I ordered a new deck off eBay last night. The cassette deck is the only way I can listen to my .mp3 player. At 219K in my '01... I'm not putting a new aux-in/bluetooth head unit in it. lol.
