Hello what are my options as far as Cat replacement. I have a project Gen3 with a bad cat and looking into my options for a replacement and what has been done to address the coolant lines. All of my searches produce results regarding Cat theft deterrents. Thanks in advance!

You need to purchase a new converter like this one.

    Catalytic Converter For 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 Toyota Prius 1.8L EPA | eBay

Carefully cut off the old cat before the pre-heater without cutting the coolant lines.

Position and tack weld the new cat to the pre-heater.

Clamp off the coolant lines before the pre-heater, remove the clamps and take down the cat with the pre-heater and resonator attached.

Fully weld the connection between the converter and the pre-heater.

Reinstall the entire unit, top off the coolant, and you're done.

Not sure I understand the sequence as described above; the old cat comes off BEFORE the new one is tack welded, no?

Unfortunately, I do not want to elaborate, because this is the very technique used to cleanly and easily steal a Gen 3 cat.
