Catalytic Converter Shield / Guard

    I'm thinking of getting a catalytic converter shield/guard for a 2012 Prius V that will soon be street parked frequently in Chicago. I have heard that the catalytic converters are often sawed off and stolen.

    Any tips on a Chicago area mechanic to install a shield (and possibly supply one)?

    Any tips on a good guard to purchase?

    You should probably also get a tremor switch installed on the car (an add-on to your existing alarm system). Thieves need to lift the car in order to get under it to steal the CAT.
