CEL on 2006

    Hello everyone. My wife and i just bought a 2006 Prius (the first hybrid for us) and the CEL has come on. I don't know a lot about these or if this subject has been touched on here. I took the car to my local Advance and the codes came up as follows:

    C1241, P0420.

    This car has 182,xxx miles on it and I haven't had a chance to get a shop manual yet.

    What do these mean? are they expensive repairs?

    doesn't sound to expensive for an experienced diy er and aftermarket parts. pick up a mini vci and an old compatible windows laptop, for troubleshooting help.

    Okay, read through some of the stuff on the P code. Would you guys think that running Seafoam through will help? It always did with my Fords.

    But people have certainly given it a whirl.

    Order this aftermarket catalytic from Amazon and your problems will go away. It's only $100 and have a welder weld it on.
