    Yup, I was able to change mine too. I hate having senior moments, (even at this relatively early age), so got rid of the Senior....

    As @Mendel Leisk said, the ability to change the Avatar nickname was a "feature" built in for users registered before a certain year/date. Oldtimer like @Mendel Leisk still possesses that power, but newbies like me never had that power.
