sure would be fun to open the doors from the inside when you have 3 inches of snow on the roof!

    2005 packag options are reduced

I just called my dealer (Stevinson Toyota in Golden, Colorado) for my monthly list-check (I'm #26). The good news is, he said, I'll be moving up the list again after today's allotment.

The bad news is the #3 package I've ordered will not be available in the 2005 models. He bumped me up to a #7 package.

I have to honestly say that the #3 package was stretching my budget, and I'm not sure I can afford the extra 1,600 dollars for a 7 (plus the possible price increase in the 2005 that Dianne hinted at).

Not sure whether to be angry or disappointed.

Remember the $1,500 tax credit if it's delivered this year. That might be a $500 real-money return for you, helping the cause somewhat...

It's not a Tax Credit, it's a Tax Deduction. So, you don't get a $1500 benefit. You only get back the amount of taxes you would have paid on $1500 of income, so the benefit depends on your tax bracket.

Even though a #7 is a i=bit more, its a car you will probably keep for years. I also wanted a base model but got a 7 , ten days ago and I love it and am very happy I got a 7. In fact, sometimes I regret not having gotten a 9. You will really apprecite the HID lights. They make driving at night so much easier. The SE/SS will become a neat feature even though I can live without it. I am not sure about the fog lights which seem rather useless here in CA. The VSC is good to have I suppose.

... we do have a state tax credit in Colorado, in addition to the federal tax deduction. Of course, I was already factoring those in.

I wonder if anyone else has heard the same thing (that the package 3 will be discontinued in 2005)?

You can see the Daihatsu logo clearly in the immediate background in the first picture, the one on this thread, not on that other website.

Not to completly reroute this back to the begining, but if the nav screens have mercury, dont all the prius screens have it? I have a 9, but I thought the screen was the same in all the cars
