I recall reading somewhere it would improve the longevity of the 12v battery. If I changed all the interior lights, headlights, taillights to LED would that make any difference?

only the lights you use when not in ready effect the 12v. when ready, the inverter does the job.

if you leave an interior light on by mistake, that will help a lot.

On the same idea as Bisco expressed, I changed just the interior lights, to allow much greater time to discover and remedy left-on lights before the 12V battery drains enough to prevent starting.

It was not successful when I accidentally left the hatch not quite latched for 3+ days last week, probably because the door-open status leaves some other electronics powered up too. But for a simple dome light, it should allow more than a day's time to discover and fix it without going dead.
