Charge mode for gen 3?

    Hello!
    My question is:
    Is it theoretical or practical possible to force prius gen3 plug in to behave as prius gen4 plug in to charge the battery with ice while driving? If yes, what do i need to make it done? If no, then why?
    Another question is:
    I have opportunity to buy a used 4.4kw battery and i plan to stack it over the original and pair together. Is it possible? If yes, how do i do that? If no, then why?
    I saw a vid on Youtube about double battery on a nissan leaf and it worked just fine. Can you do the same on prius?

    welcome!

    anything is possible, but no one here has done it, so you would be the missionary, with little to no help.

    it would take a programming genius to hack toyota's proprietary control software to manage double battery size, not to mention figuring out how force charge works in prime, and recreating it in the pip.
