Over the past few months, I've noticed the charging nozzle on my 2012 is increasingly hard to connect and disconnect from the car. Any thoughts on why and what a fix may be? I'm in Illinois, so the dealers here are pretty unfamiliar with this car, as it was never sold here.

generally speaking, the problem has been a loose o ring at the bottom of the socket. if that is the case, the solution has been to reach in with needle nose pliers, remove and disgard. it is not needed, and has not come installed on more recent editions.

There is a Toyota tech bulletin on this. You'll probably find that the dealer will do it for free.
