After a couple of years fussing with our PiP's timer button, I turned the car over to my wife, who was never going to get the hang of it.

This timer from Harbor Freight is rated 15 amps. It's programmable for each day of the week. An internal battery keeps the display and programming for months when not plugged in.

It's been working great for us for a year or so. However, Harbor Freight sells cheap stuff and you may well get a lemon. If so, just buy another one - it's only ten bucks.

We use something similar for our block heater, great idea.
