an audio installer who shall remain nameless (shame on them) scratched my 2014 Prius "fan speed" button just under the radio. What's the cheapest option to replace this? Paint did not manage to fix it seamlessly.

Generic image of a fan button:

No, when I say "fan speed button" I'm referring to this part:

Any pointers greatly appreciated. So far we can only find the entire console for over $1000.

I say live with it. I can hardly see it, and I have worse on my steering wheel from my own doing. :(

You can't keep it looking perfect.

That's not a picture of my fan button! That's a picture of a fan button. Respectfully, I'm not looking for advice about living with the huge gouge caused by a screwdriver, I'm looking for an answer to my question.

I was sincerely hoping the Prius forum would have info about finding Prius replacement parts.

    Thanks!

Post a pic of your button? If possible.

I'm not sure what that would achieve and would take a lot of fussing about. My question is how to obtain a replacement button. If you aren't sure I completely understand.

    Thanks!

My guess is that it's an integrated component to the AC control panel. If you could find a replacement one at a salvage yard, you MIGHT be able to take it apart and see how to switch it out.

That's my best guess. I doubt a Toyota tech would do anything more than order a replacement control panel.

Buy a used unit from eBay & swap the button. That's what I would do.
