    Hey all,

My 2005 baby has 209,000 miles on her. Check engine light, warning light, and brake light are on, plus it's not recognizing any fuel. It starts up and runs fine.

    1. Any ideas?
    2. How can I ask the robot computer what's wrong with her?

    Thank you!!

you can try dr. prius, hubrid asst or torque, among others, but tech stream is the gold standard

You mean I have to buy something to stick inside of it and then connect to an app?

The mechanic wants $50 to diagnose. What is the hardware I need to do this myself?

yes, you have to buy an obd connector and use it with an app. or tech stream runs on a laptop.

investment in time and money depends on how much diy you want to do.

you can find threads on all these products by searching priuschat

A fuel level indicator that has one flashing dot (if you know for certain that level is not correct) is one of several possible indicators of losing 12v power. Any time 12v power is lost, the fuel level will default to one flashing dot until it recalibrates itself (I've seen this take 5 minutes to 5 hours).
