Today my check hybrid system message and yellow triangle warning light came on. About an hour before it happened I had to slam on the brakes really hard to avoid an accident.
    No codes from Autozone reader.
I also notice now that my brake pedal will go all the way to the floor if I push it hard and sometime the traction and brake warning lights will come on when I do this. The yellow triangle and check hybrid stay on all the time. The car drives. Also battery and regen braking on the screen don't seem to be working properly. But the battery is charged somehow.
I'm thinking that the problem is with the brake system and not the hybrid battery since I can push my brake pedal to the floor.
Has this happened to anyone else.

I'm going to go to dealer probably to get it diagnosed.

I've looked at it but its hard to see anything unusual. Autozone scanner apparently doesn't read hybrid codes, only engine.

Do you by chance have anything connected to the OBD port?

If your brake pedal is going all the way to the floor, I would immediately check your level in the brake fluid reservoir, and look under the car for any leaking brake fluid.

I don't have anything connected to the port. Brake fluid reservoir is full.

Disconnected both batteries and the white cable in the fuse box. That cleared all the warnings. Drove for about forty miles around city, so far good. We'll see if it stays that way.

Just disconnecting the 12 volt is very likely sufficient, for next time. It doesn't hurt to disconnect the big boy, but that one has been problematic for some. Mainly the final reinstall step not done, sliding it some direction.

I had brakes acting up similarly, and it was apparently just communication problem, according to dealership. In my case it was apparently a constantly connected ScanGuage. I ceased using it about 5 years back, and no further problems.

Happened to me and it was wheel bearing going bad. Mechanic told me wire going to bearing and once it completely goes out it throws the codes and breaks go haywire.
