"Check Hybrid System" Error right out of the dealership

    I got a call back from Toyota today. They said Toyota never released the part to them because it has to be built. She said it would be there Tuesday at the earliest, and I don't trust that one bit after what I've seen on here. I've been driving this POS Chevy loaner and I'm getting tired of it.

    I was surprised that they could get a part so fast. Especially an inverter. Sorry to hear of the delay.

    i would put faith in that, because tuesday at the earliest probably means sometime in june.:(

    The weird part is why it would disconnect itself? Sounds like someone was fooling with the HV battery whatever it may mean.

    I'm not sure she said the recall for the inverter/water pump. I'm just really frustrated. I don't wanna be making my first payment before I even get the car...

    Agreed, you should call the parts department daily of the Toyota dealership to see if the inverter has been received by them (the old "squeaky wheel" adage!)
    Also, since the Chevy dealership sold you a car they did not thoroughly check out, they should be coerced into giving you a Chevy Volt as a loaner - and not some POS!

    Chevy said they had no other cars available ATM. Since it's covered under toyota warranty, could I get a loaner through them instead? Maybe a prius

    you may want to read the thread from the guy who waited 2 months for an inverter recently. he tried a lot of different avenues if i'm not mistaken.
