    Called Toyota. The guy I talked to didn't seen to understand that much about the inverter issue but called other shops in my area which said that no one would carry that part cause it's so expensive, and that even though the ordering dealership gets delivery estimates, he's seen them constantly change week by week and just keep getting pushed out

    In my opinion, get out of the deal. Call the Chevy dealer and explain that they sold you a defective car.

    My dealership said Toyota released my part yesterday and I'll get an update on Monday or Tuesday. Does that mean it's on the way?

    Yes I'll get an update on the wait time. I found an inverter in Maryland at a dealer but my dealership said it has to be coded and ordered for the car, I stopped arguing. Does the fact that it's been released mean it's being shipped tho? t
    Does it mean it shipped?

    Well this is exactly why I stay away from used cars...lol. I don't know if other ppl can justify a few thousand more for a new vehicle but then that few thousand is a peace of mind expense. Mind you, I've seen here on Priuschat, and elsewhere that a small percentage of people with new cars even have problems...

    Damn this world!

    Does anyone know what it means that toyota released the part? Is that like it'll ship soon or does it mean nothing.

    JUST got a call from Toyota saying that they had the inverter. Car will be ready sometime tomorrow :)
