    Jumpjet,

    Any update on your issues?

I just got the message today on my way to work. The message has since disappeared, but the car is acting funny (ABS and VSC lights on and it doesnt appear to be regen'ing at all, friction brakes only). I checked my coolant levels and they both seem to be OK. I tried pulling the code(s) with Torque, but it said there were no codes stored (strange).

    Lourun,

Yes! I havent been able to update this thread.. but after posting on Tuesday, on my way home, I disconnected my ODB2 adapter and the lights all went away. Coming back to work today, there were no issue either.

So at this point, I'd say it was the OBD2 adapter. The only thing that bothers me is that my OBD2 adapter has been plugged into the car for the past year or so without any issue.

Something I was also thinking was that because I havent used Torque in a long time, when I set up the data logging last week, Torque updated to the latest version. So I dont know if that has something to do with it. Although with all the PiP owners here who use Torque, I would've expected to hear something if that was the case.

Either way, the adapter is unplugged now. I may try it again at some later date, but at this point, I'm just happy the messages and lights went away.

Since you unplugged yours, have you tried plugging it back in and using Torque again?

Yes not only have I tried plugging it in many times, I bought a different one from a different manufactor, on Amazon, and it did the same thing. So right now I am running without it plugged in.

How do you tell the date (or month) of actual manufacture?

Hmm.. strange.. I wonder if an update to Torque messed with OBD2 adapter or something. There are settings in Torque that "do something" to the adapter (like one setting was making Torque turn off the adapter, if supported)..

My adapter was one of the cheapie ones for like $20 or something. I know usbseawolf2000 uses a more expensive one.. maybe that will be the one we need to get.

Its just so odd that my adapter has been plugged in for so long without issue.. but pretty much the day after I started logging after not using it for 6-8 months, it starts acting up.

How often does it happen to you?

I can't recall the last time it happened to me with PiP but I think it happened once.

Do you have "Faster Communication" setting turned on?

If those adapters cannot handle it, disabling it may help? Just a thought.
