    Chart also uses the 2014 model of the Prius, the 2016 would be better. Note how the Prius (even the 2014 model) is cheaper per mile than most vehicles considering vehicle cost, fuel and maintenance. Also note how its lifecycle carbon (including manufacture) is low -- better than the 2030 goal. All the TDI's have higher total carbon emissions.

    It uses EPA fuel consumption figures, so the TDIs might actually do better on the real road. The 2014 Cruze and Jetta diesel do much better than their typical gasoline counterpart as presented.

    Worse, the application does not let us input the newest parameters from products that have just been released. So it appears to lag the technology. For example, the Prius Prime and the IONIQ or something like it that we are all waiting around for. <GERRRRR Godot!>

    Is there a fix yet?
    Yeah, it seems to just have been meant for the public to more easily access the results of their study.
