EV stations should have the sign and should have multiple wire/chargers and be in between two spots for more efficiency in people parking and multiple EVs parking there.

Looks nice in it's own way perhaps, but to me it looks a bit like it rolled over.

As the saying goes, it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

I think a lot of the successful car styles of the past have been patterned after animals.

    True.
GM is merely taking advantage of CAFE rules that may have made it easier for the top brass to sign off on it.
It's not like Toyota won't use credits earned from Prius sales to counteract their Tundras and Sequoias.
The Chevy Trax. Been available in Canada for years now.

Presumably an ICE requires more space in the front than an electric motor.

I like the i3, but it is polarizing. The Bolt looks more mainstream; toned down.

It needs wobbly rear wheels to be truly like Grumpy Cat.

Looks extremely similar to the i3. I wonder if this would pull sales away from Volt 2.0 if targeting similar price points.

I can see resemblance to an i3 in overall shape but the i3 is one of the ugliest cars ever in my eyes. It's Aztek ugly. The Bolt actually looks good to me But sigh... only 4 seats. I hope they update the concept otherwise, I'll have to weigh that with Leaf 2.0 and Tesla Model 3.

...perhaps gives some insight into Toyota's EV stance??
If Toyota wanted to play like GM they'd have to build a EV factory in the US.

If Toyota is typical of most big corporations, they base their actions on profitability first, then find the best PR-spin for them afterwards.

Doubt it will, or least not to any extent that GM would care.. Even with 200 miles range, a BEV is a tough sell to most people due to the limitations. Many BEV families still have a gasser of some type. So the Volt has better appeal to the single car person family.

I think the Volt might pull an inverse of the first one. People coming to the dealer to look at the Volt may leave with the Bolt instead of a Cruze. Those looking to go all electric to begin with would more likely go with the Tesla 3 or new Leaf(w/ possible Al-air batt.) than a new Volt if the Bolt didn't exist.
And that is why I didn't look at a Prius c when considering a Sonic.

According to MotorTrend, the production Bolt will have 5 seats with the battery pack flat under the floor and the body constructed with lightweight materials (like the forthcoming Caddy CT6).

Because it sorta goes along with the electrical theme, Volt, Spark, Bolt. As in a bolt of lightning?
